Life Groups

Real life, together. Not a Bible study, not a social club.

A small group in a home, built around real conversation and people who actually know your name.

Life Groups at Emmaus "They share real life together, caring for each other when things are hard and celebrating with each other when things are good, holding one another accountable to walk in the ways of Jesus. That's what it looks like to be fully known and fully loved: people sharpening each other, the way iron sharpens iron."

What a typical night looks like

Every Life Group runs on the same simple rhythm, so you always know what to expect no matter whose home you're in.

1

Time Together

No agenda, just people. Many groups share a meal; others do dessert or coffee. This is where belonging actually starts.

2

A Conversation

A short guide tied to that week's sermon. A host leads it; nobody lectures.

3

Once a Month

The group splits by gender for deeper, more personal conversation and prayer, then comes back together the following week.

Come to Our Next Connect Night

Next Connect Night: TBD

One evening. You'll meet real hosts and find a group that actually fits, in person, before you commit to anything. No group roster to browse, no guessing who you'd be meeting.

Could you host?

You don't need to be a Bible teacher. A home, a willingness to open your door, and good questions is the whole bar. Tell us you're interested, and a member of our team will personally reach out to talk it through.

Questions people actually ask

What is a Life Group?

A small group of people doing ordinary life together in a home: real conversation built around that week's sermon, time to actually be known, and often a shared meal. It's not a lecture and it's not just a social club.

Do I need to bring my kids, and what happens to them?

Most groups arrange simple shared childcare during the meeting so parents get the evening. Ask your host what their group has in place. Bring your kids to the Connect Night itself, and we'll help you find a group that fits your family's season of life.

I'm not married and don't know anyone here. Is this still for me?

Yes. Life Groups are for whatever season you're actually in, not only for couples. Come to a Connect Night and you'll meet an actual host in person before you commit to anything.

Do I have to commit to a whole semester?

Every group runs for a defined term, not an open-ended commitment. You'll know exactly how long you're signing up for before you say yes.

Is this just another Bible study?

Not exactly. Every group works through the same short guide, tied to that week's sermon, but the point isn't information. It's the two hours of actually being with people who know your name and your story.

What if I miss a week?

Life happens. Text your host. That's it. No guilt, no forms.

Where do groups meet, and when?

Life Groups meet in homes around Murfreesboro, one evening a week. You'll find out the specific day, time, and location for your group at the Connect Night.
